Day 7- Project Managment, Shopping

Hi everyone, today's weather is pretty good, not as cold as all the previous day. The temperature was about 9degree. Cynthia and Winnie bought 汤包 for us to share since they went out for breakfast earlier. A box for only 3rmb, which is only SGD$0.60. The price is relatively cheap as compared to Ding Tai Fung whereby one basket of it will cost us at least SGD$9.

The nine of us had our lunch at the school canteen. We called small dishes plus bowls of rice and went out of school to buy the milk tea as lessons start at 12.30pm and we're left with time. Back to project management class till 3pm. Ms Neo released us early today!

After which, we decided to go to 'shop-ping mall' 贸易矿场 for dinner plus shopping. We took a public bus there and by the time, it was only 4plus in the afternoon, the bus is already fully packed with people. It is so different from Singapore as in China, their daily life have also become a daily routine of eating breakfast, lunch and dinner early due to their timing of working hours. Even their malls close as early as 9.30pm. Their lives are relaxed that almost everyone will have a fixed time for family and friends or even study. I think that Singaporeans ought to learn to spend some time for family and friends instead of spending all the time focusing on work.

We had Pizza Hut for dinner along with Dong Xiang, one of our local student leaders. 4 pizzas, iced water and side dishes which cost us 291rmb. Shop, bumper car and then we took a taxi back to the hostel. We found this machine in the shopping mall while we went around looking. It let customers to print the selected vouchers out immediately, using just-in-time need to satisfy customer by giving different discount from various shops. This includes Pizza Hut.

We also went to WalMart along our way to take a taxi home. It cost us 12.20rmb.
Glimpse of WalMart.

The layout of WalMart is exactly like our Giant or Carefour in Singapore, holding a variety of things that incresed the level of customer satisfaction .

Reflection:
Finally, we saw the locals' hostel room. I felt that we were very fortunate to have three sharing to a room with a personal toilet and water heater. Whereas, the locals students have 6 people to a room without a personal toilet inside their room, but had to use a common toilet outside. Besides, their bed is as thin as ours and that I really think that we have lots of privilege staying in the hostel and we ought to appreciate it.

We came across these words at the school gate today:

It means that we have to learn from young to old. 活到老,学到老。I think that it is vital that we should learn as many as possible in life in order to enhance our knowledge and update our skills in life.

And lastly, Happy Birthday Mummy!
