Day 23- IS lesson: Chinese philosophy, Shopping

Hi everyone, the temperature now is about 11 degree.

As usual, we went to duoloujie to buy our breakfast. And this time, we had porridge instead. It only cost us 2rmb. Went to IS lesson from 9am to about 12pm. Today's lesson was about Chinese Philosophy. Chinese Philosophy is introduced by Sun-Yat-Sen and it has begun to integrate concepts of western philosophy. We were asked to do a worksheet on the the Chinese and our own perspective to what we think and feel about the given short passage.

江汉路步行街's 女人大世界was our destination. Had our late lunch over there as it was already 3pm when we reached there. The famous 煎包,beancurd (豆花), buns were our filling lunch.
Along the streets, there was a fire station and the workers there were washing the fire engine. It looks quite funny and amazing in live.

The making process of the 煎包openly in the shop. 现做现卖.
It only cost 4 for 4rmb.

It has many road side stalls and that these stalls are opened after 6pm when the weather condition is good, such that heavy rainfall or even a small drizzle can decide if all the shop owners are going to open their stalls at the same time. It seems to me that weather forecast has been their main crucial point of decision making.

COCO, a bubble tea shop found in a shopping centre- HAPPY 站台. The bubble tea can be bought at around 4rmb& above and they have pudding in substitution of pearls which we couldn't find in Singapore.

Reflection:
I feel that it is vital to think out of the box and look into all different views of people in the surrounding in order to accommodate all different culture and country of people living today. For example, if China did not integrate concepts of western philosophy, it will still be a communist Chinese state such that English would not be learn by the Chinese, Western fast food would not be able to make its way through the Chinese business and many more that lead to the Chinese being a frog in the well and not being able to expose to more of the other cultures in the world. This is when the wrong interpretion of one another may lead to quarrels, disrespect to one or even war in the olden days.
