Day 10- One day tour toYellow Crane Tower (黄鹤楼),古琴台

Hi everyone, today's temperature is about 15degree and hence, almost everyone wore a slightly thinner jacket instead of a coat. The weather is pretty fine.
We met at 8.10am today at the ground floor of the hostel. Together with the ECE group, we took a bus to 黄鹤楼. Along the way, the local tour guide explained to us some of the history of Wuhan, whereby we will be touring in Wuhan in the route of a left hand as a metaphor, starting from the thumb. 汉口 has more than 500 years of history as compared to 汉央, which have a

Sharing tips in Wuhan:

拐子- 大哥 (Big Brother)
过早- Eating breakfast fast in the morning.

The history of 热干面 came about when in the past, people do not have refrigerator to store their food, hence, they would be spoil easily when kept overnight. However, there's this man who thought of an idea of having their noodles 3/4 cooked and then go over with oil in order to keep them longer. This idea works and therefore, this is how it came about. It is a simple food that contains many memories of how people in the past can keep their food even longer without wasting it.

Last but not least, our one day tour ended up with going to a tourist attraction where there were lots of statues and that it had become a popular location for people over here to have their wedding photo shoot done. We even witness 4 pairs of couples today. We were given some time to explore the place and even go to 江汉步行街 as it is only a distance away but the nine of us were too tired that we decided to go up the bus early to rest and going back to that area in future in the days in Wuhan.

For today's dinner, we decided to go somewhere near our hostel. So, we went to 建设二路 and walked on the streets. Some of us experience eating road site stalls for dinner while some of us went to the most famous 炸酱面 stall. It was delicious and we tried to walked and eat at the same time like those people in Wuhan. Along our way back, we saw several groups of middle-aged women dancing at the side of the street. It is a form of exercise and not only that, they danced together for free, like a source of interaction and reminisce of old times and their families situations. I feel that this is a good idea of having these kind of activities almost everyday as besides exercising, there will be more connections between women in the society. It also display the social lifestyle of people in China.

Went back to hostel early today and we played games together with the local students! Had a fun night itself.
