Day 30- Coca Cola Factory

Hi everyone, the weather today is clear and the temperature is 13degree now.

At 8.30am, everyone gathered at the classroom block and board the bus to the Coca Cola factory together with the ECE group. 2 hours of bus ride journey, and finally, we reached the factory.

Dangerous symbols.

We had a short site visit but we were unlucky to witness the whole process of the making for Coca Cola from the from the manufacturing of recipe of Coca Cola to the packaging and quality check due to the maintenance of all the machines in the factory. Besides, a video was shared with us and that a question-answer session was conducted where prize were given out for the correct answers. Coca Cola factory had their first Coca Cola produced in 1886 in a pharmacy which cost less than 1 dollar for a bottle. It was also described as a type of medicine in Chinese. Spending about 1 hour or so in the factory, our day trip ends before lunch.

High customer service satisfaction and world class supply chain management.

Upon reaching school, everyone had a quick lunch and then started doing on our project. I had 煲面 (Claypot noodle) from Duoluojie for 6Rmb. Did our project till about 4pm and the eight of us decided to go to 江汉路 for shopping. Had beancurd, bun, MacDonald nuggets and Ajisen there. Had fried udon for dinner at Ajisen but because mine came way after everyone ate theirs, I decided to take away. It was a different experience to eat Ajisen out. 2 porcelain Ajisen cups were given to us when ordered a set dinner for 2 because the shop was going to close. After which, we went WalMart to get our lunch for tomorrow's picnic at 东湖 and took a taxi back to the hostel.

Reflection:
When taking 588 to 江汉路, the bus came past a school at about 6pm. Outside the school, what I saw was that there were many parents coming to school, taking a dinner pack for their kids. They even stood there, chatted with them outside the school while their kids were eating. It was especially amazing that I could even see fathers doing the same action, where this situation is hardly seen in Singapore. The scene was very heartwarming. I could see that they came to school specially to cater dinner for their kids ,where they will continue their lessons in the night.
